Overview
Meridian is a text-based adult RPG for players who want a slower, mystery-tinged household drama with a quiet, unsettling tone.
Story
You've been sleeping badly for four months, waking at exactly ten past four with the sense of having been somewhere else, somewhere wet. Meridian builds its plot around that recurring waking moment, treating it as the thread that pulls the rest of the household's secrets loose.
Gameplay
Play centers on a male protagonist navigating a shared house full of women, moving through text-driven scenes and choices that shift depending on who you talk to and when. Sandbox-style days let you decide how to spend your time, building toward individual routes with each housemate as trust and familiarity change what's available to you.
Features
- Voiced dialogue accompanies key scenes rather than text alone
- Animated sequences paired with real-video content for intimate scenes
- Character routes with distinct outcomes rather than one fixed path
Changelog
v0.2
- New sixth housemate MAREN, the one who was here before. She walks up out of the current two days after the first Seal breaks, and the empty bedroom you've been sleeping in all along was hers. Two scenes and her own Reciprocal route
- Maren has eight videos, so six position buttons against everyone else's four, including one where nobody touches her
- Full voice acting: 283 lines, up from 218. And voice follows your reading now instead of the other way round, each line playing when you reach it with no scroll locking. Press V anywhere to switch modes
- New THE WORLD screen in the menu: 26 entries on the Meridian, the Ford, custodians, the Weir, the Radiance and shifts, plus the clock table. Nothing the story hasn't told you yet shows up
- The gallery is an actual gallery: image cards, all 11 scenes including the locked ones with exactly what you're missing, and replaying one plays the whole scene with its choices and its video. Free in all three editions
- Fixed the run-killer: Sediment was locked behind itself. Dives were the only source and only opened after a study that cost 10, launched from an Observatory that cost 30, out of the 40 you start with. One extra night's upkeep and the run was unwinnable. Dives are open from the start now, and it repairs saves that were already stuck
- Fixed: the Voice's scene could not be reached. "Step towards the centre" only appeared if you had already played the scene it leads to, so the Dead Ford always read "There's nothing here". The whole of act I hangs off that task
- Fixed: Sabine's pantry and Cielo's notebooks vanished the moment you chose, because the time they charged pushed the clock past the end of the day. A scene never puts you to bed now
- Food stops ambushing you: 18 provisions to start instead of 6, the HUD says how many nights of food are left, and a new STARTING THE MERIDIAN checklist walks you through the whole loop and then disappears for good
- 3 new achievements (68 in total), 2 new scenes (11 in total), and everything new is written in both languages
