Overview
Pokemon Ardor is a 2D adult parody RPG for players who want turn-based monster battles with a comedic, romantic edge. It stays lighthearted even as it leans into its adult premise.
Story
A new graduate of the Ankto Pokemon College sets out on a journey through the Ankto region. The region's battles are tougher than most, and losing tends to lead somewhere unexpectedly personal, as trainers there have a habit of getting frisky after a defeat.
Gameplay
Play centers on exploring towns and routes, battling trainers and wild monsters in turn-based combat, and building up a team as you travel. Losing fights doesn't just end a match, it opens up flirtatious encounters with the region's cast, blending RPG progression with romance-driven detours. Along the way you can visit shops, explore buildings and hidden areas, and gradually uncover more of the region as you advance.
Features
- Turn-based battles with a difficulty curve steeper than typical Pokemon fare
- A cast of milf and harem-style love interests met through exploration and combat
- Pixel-art presentation with an evolving visual style for key characters
- Humor-driven, parody take on the Pokemon formula
Changelog
v0.14
- Reduced the difficulty of Gardenia's gym and introduced items into the herb shop.
- Houses by the lake can now be entered.
- Ghost house underground can now be explored.
v0.135
- The in-game music has been drastically improved, and I’ve tested new art styles for May and Leaf by converting HD digital art into pixelated sprites—a method that worked well for recent scenes and will likely be used moving forward.
- To help you tackle the tough battles without constant healing runs, you now start the game with Max Revives and Master Balls. This should let you focus more on catching and battling, or simply lower the difficulty if you choose to use them freely.
