Overview
The Long Way Home is a text-based visual novel for players who like identity-driven stories with a quiet, personal tone. It favors reflection over spectacle, letting small moments carry weight.
Story
At 21, you move into a full household and start noticing something shifting in how you see yourself in the mirror. The story follows that self-discovery, as you decide whether to lean feminine, lean masculine, or settle somewhere in between, with the household around you reacting to the person you become.
Gameplay
Play unfolds through text-driven choices centered on a single male protagonist, with 2D and AI-generated art illustrating key moments. Small decisions, how long you hold a look, what risks you take, what kindnesses you show, build up over time and shape how others in the household respond to you. There's no combat or resource management here, just a steady accumulation of choices that define who you're becoming.
Features
