Vald's Quest: Daemonreign is an adult RPG for players who want old-school eroge combat with a fantasy edge. The tone leans dark and irreverent, closer to a rogue's tale than a hero's march.

Story

Vald, a mercenary from overseas, arrives in the Kingdom of Asprava after it falls under the rule of a Demon Queen. His stated goal is to hunt down and defeat the villainous women who serve her, folding them into his own ranks rather than simply destroying them. Whether this ends up saving the kingdom or not is left to how the player steers him, since Vald is a written character with his own leanings, not a blank slate.

Gameplay

Combat runs on turn-based tactics, with battles against enemy commanders leading into recruitment rather than a simple game-over screen. Outside of fights, the game opens into a sandbox structure where exploration and character growth build up Vald's party over time. Choices during encounters shift how noble or ruthless Vald comes across, without changing his core personality.
